I am truly honored and humbled, not only by the incredible volunteers who helped make the Karns, Powell, and Gibbs parades such a success, but by the overwhelming outpouring of support from those communities. Seeing the encouragement, handshakes, smiles, and prayers along the parade routes is something I will never forget. I wish we could have made it to all of them! 🎅🏼🦁
I’ve been a public servant for 46 years, and people often ask me why I don’t just retire. The answer is simple. God led me to run for Sheriff, and He has carried me through health challenges and given me the strength to continue serving. I believe deeply in the legacy Sheriff Tom Spangler will leave at the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, and I also know there is still more to accomplish—for our dedicated men and women who serve, and for the citizens we are sworn to protect. I am truly blessed to have a front-row seat in this work.
Until now, the greatest professional honor of my life has been serving as Sheriff Spangler’s Chief Deputy during both of his terms. Today, that honor has grown into something new: being a candidate and having the opportunity to earn your vote as Knox County Sheriff in 2026.
I only wish my mom and dad were here to witness this journey. I am proud to come from a family that loves the Lord and believes in serving others, and I carry those values with me every day.
If you’d like to join us for the next round of parades, I would love to have you walking alongside us.
God bless you all, and Merry Christmas.
